Maybe this is too early, but I think I might keep going after I finish the C25K and start training for a half-marathon. I know I don't want to get to a 5K and then not have a goal. I don't want to quit after having worked so hard to get to a 5K, so I really think I'll have to set another goal to keep myself motivated. So my plan right now is to continue the C25K, then once that is complete, then I'll start the half-marathon training, which is a 10 week plan. While weight loss is a goal, it isn't my only goal. I'm done with thinking I can't do something because I'm fat, or injured or old, or blah blah blah!
I have 5 more weeks (out of 9) of the C25K and I found a 10 week training schedule for the half-marathon. My next step will be to sign up for the Go St. Louis run on April 11th.

Hi Sharon, thanks for the comment on my blog yesterday. No, there isn't some horrible secret about the upcoming week of C25K. I had just been a slacker with the exercise for a while (hence the plateau I think). I just decided to crank out some extra time while I was already at the track.
ReplyDeleteYou're doing great with the C25K. Almost 1/2 way!! Woo hoo!!
