Our dog disappeared yesterday but was happily returned to his this morning. I got about 4 hrs of broken sleep last night. I kept invisioning some freak had stolen him and sold him to a medical lab. Thankfully, he was just enjoying a mini-vacation at a neighbor's home, one street over. My 2 year old has been petting him and playing with his tale for the last 20 minutes and didn't seem to mind when the dog farted. Which reminded me why I keep kicking him outside in the first place.
I'm tired, the house is a wreck from the weekend. The girls are working on their school work, but I hope we will be able to get out for a walk soon. I need to wake up and breathe some fresh fall air.

glad that your dog enjoyed his overnight journey...but sorry that it kept you up most of the night worrying. I know how it goes though thinking that way. Someone stole my mom's teacup poodle a year ago or so... kept driving by the house all after noon, then Pierre disappeared. They were pretty sure that they driver of the van took him... the neighbor had found him a month or better later out wandering the fields not far from my parents home... he lost a lot of hair from malnutrition and lost only a half pound...but for a dog that only weighed less than 5 to begin with that was alot. They figure that whoever stole him freaked out when the lost dog posters went up all over town, was reported to the police, and was posted on the radio too... Anyway, glad that you have your 4 legged baby safe at home with ya.
ReplyDeleteGlad Buddy is home safe! Maybe you should teach James to pet the ears instead of the tail :)
