Goals? Excuse me while I ramble on and on and on

So just what are my goals? Obviously, longterm goals are: I want to lose weight, get healthy and be strong. I want to run. I'm going to Peru in two months and the village we are going is in the mountains. The hike to the village in the mountains is a definate motivator on improving my cardio. I don't much like the idea of my pastor dragging me up the mountain.

Lets think about those clothes that I have waiting for me in my closet. I have 2 size 14 dresses that are very cute. One is green with a swishy skirt. I love swishy skirts, very feminine. The other is white with brown flowers. Then there is the size 12 dress that I came sooooo close to fitting in for the cruise. I was disappointed that it didn't fit because I really love it. So, fitting into THAT dress is a goal. I have other goal clothes. One is an obnoxious hawaiian print skort and tank top from when I was in college. I promise I won't wear it in public, I just want to be able to fit into it again. The other is a pair of levi button fly jeans from college. I think they are a size 10. If or when I fit into them, I will definately wear them out in public. I think people would be more shocked that the pants are not low-low-rise, so low that it is impossible not to show-your-crack-pants.

Another goal: buy a decent bra. None of my bras fit, they are either too big or too small. I could save the too small ones for when I shrink but they are all worn out and need replacing. I won't buy one now because what would be the point? I am losing weight and don't want to waste money. I'm just throwing a number out there, say 199, when I hit 199, then I will measure and buy a new bra or two.

Well, I just heard the call of my 3 yr old, who at 11:36pm is still not asleep. Goodnight all - or goodnight Nancy. ;-)

  2. Thanks Jen! I know there is no way I can run a half marathon but I should sign up for the 5K.

I know I don't comment much on your blog but I'm still following the updates on your little princess. Has she learned any English words yet?
